My generation is known for being lazy and not as educated as past era’s. I think with the teens today we are going to have a very weak work force in the future. Teens today expect to much money for things that they do. I’m a freshman in highschool right now and I think I’m going to get the worst of a depression if one happens. I’m currently working with my father and saving up money for items I want and also saving up to have some extra money for the future. I see many teens around my high school unwilling to work and listening to banal and awful R&B music; I judge people on what type of music they listen to and sadly most people at my school listen to terrible music. Some people are into the horrible satanic music while others are into the stupid R&B my generation is awful. Although everything around now is not that bad. Coldplay and Radiohead rock!

We will start to have very high inflation within the next several years as a result of Bush's policy on the Iraq war that is draining this country and in allowing the Oil companies to have their Political Pay Back for contributing to his election campaigns.

Hold on there. You kind of went into a tangent at the end of your question that confuses what you are asking. First off there most likely will not be a depression in the next 10 or even 50 years simply because we as a nation have a better understanding of economic practices to avoid depressions and have since the Great Depression developed systems and practices to prevent this from happening again. That is not to say we will not expierence recessions and inflation but nothing on the level of the 1930's. As for our work force it is not that we will develop a weak workforce but instead a highly specialized work force. For instance the US lost most of it's manual steel workforce in the 1980's to cheaper labor over seas but the U.S. maintains most of the worlds Specialized metal workforce as in almost all of the newest metal alloys being created and manufactured are happening in the U.S. This is a highly specialized skill and production process that can not be shipped over seas. Another fact about the U.S. economy is that our number 1 chief export is actually financial services. That is why there is a huge demand for financial analyst and accountants in other countries. So that being said if you want to a have a good career and become wealthy either be prepared to perform tasks no one else wants to do, or know how to perform tasks most people do not.
Incidently studies have shown that music is not an indicator of a persons qualities. It is however a social predictor of change.

I think things will get more difficult, but not the way you think. I think that within the next 15-20 years, there will be a global confrontation between Islamist extremism. (I'm not talking about Islam as a religion, but those extremists who want to dominate the world by force.) This will be a major war, and the economy will be pushed to its limits. Younger adults will be fighting.
If our side wins, which I hope, the war will be followed by a prosperous time like the time after World War II.
If you are interested in learning more about this theory, check out "Generations" or "Millennials Rising" by Howe and Strauss.
[The books don't mention Islamist extremists, since they were written before 9/11; but they describe the historical cycle, and the fact that a Crisis (decisive war) is coming. I was amazed that, before 9/11, they predicted the culture of the current youth,.and the general trends.]

I would not say that an economic crash will occur in 10 years.

But in 2029, Medicare will end. The old people are just living way too long. Yeah, that's right. I said it.

What we have is a very greedy, immoral, free-spending society these days. The kids that will run the world in a few years have no morals, and they have no sorrow or pity for anybody but themselves. I hope I am dead when my kids take over!
