Just relax. If you don't want to listen...you don't have to. It's just like TV, if you don't like it . change the channel. The problem is too many people want to regulate what you and I can see too. They're not happy unless they get to regulate what you see too.

No, when you start limiting free speech you lead down a slippery slope. I thought the novel, "Fahrenheit 451" was a good example of this. Books on certain topics were banned because they were offensive to a certain group of people, then more were banned, and more, and so on until all books were outlawed. It's the same with speech; once you start drawing a line, what's to stop you from drawing another and another. As much as I hate and disagree with what some ignorant people say, I feel that you should be able to say whatever the hell you want unless it severely and undoubtedly hurts someone. Especially in music. The whole argument that "bad" music should be banned to keep it away from children is ridiculous. If a parent doesn't know what their kids are doing and doesn't have some control over what they listen to, it's the parents fault, not the artists. And if something on a CD or on TV offends you, CHANGE THE CHANNEL!

who's banning offensive language? How do you define "offensive language"? Society can't function without business enterprise and without sensible regulations, we are going to have chaos. think of observing a movie in a theater and excellent in the process a few thing very interesting, somebody jumps up and provides a speech appropriate to the virtues of the parliamentary gadget of government. would desire to s/he be waiting to furnish one in all these speech? of course, yet not in the process a movie. you do not have a loose speech excellent to break courtroom courtroom cases with a string of jokes or sing your rendition of while the Saints flow Marching In. i'd desire to furnish many, many greater like those, however the element has been made. a number of those "speech" may be very offensive in the contexts which i've got defined. yet, a contextual ban is sensible see you later as such speech is permitted in the suitable dialogue board and does not unduly infringe upon the rights of others. you may peaceably deliver at the same time, yet not in the throughway or in somebody's kitchen without their permission. Regards.

Nope. Adults should be able to listen to whatever they want.
Parents should just teach their kids the difference between a song and real life. We all just need to relax, accept free speech and not be so touchy.

That would be denying others freedom of speech...our first amendment right. Next they'd be outlawing forums and saying anything bad about the President. No one said you had to buy music with profanity.

No, people should be allowed to say what they want to -- even Don Imus. Just because someone says something doesn't mean you have to listen to it.
