My son was strictly eating table food by 71/2 to 8 months. He was only on baby food for about 2 months if that. He had six teeth by the time he was 6 months old and after trying tablefood for the first time that is all he wanted.

My son is 15 months and still loves his baby food. In fact he rather have baby food than table food. He hates chunky baby food. Doctor said since he doesn't have much teeth it's okay to still feed him baby food and he will grow out of it on his own. (sure he likes tasting table food but won't eat any more than 2 spoons)

At around 9 months I started giving my daughter table food, chopped or mashed. By 12 months she was not given any baby food anymore.

My daughter never really got baby food. She just hated it. I guess it's because I gave her table food really early on. Foods such as mashed potatoes or refried beans. So my daughter learned how to chew really early. So I gave her nothing but table food since she was about 9 months old. At that age she was already eating chicken, fish, and even crab.

quite early on when my baby was starting solids (at 4months) i only gave her puried veggies, then when she developed her first few teeth at about 6 month i then gave her '''solid'' foods to eat herself, such as soft but not runny food, like a boiled potato or toast, once she was used to finger food and the point of chewing or sucking the foods i then started giving her the same foods as we all ate but just blended up.

They say its different with each child, some children grow alot faster than others, so parents start them on soild food from two month, but i started all four of my children at three months, i would blend whatever i was having. I wouldnt try giving them solid before three month.
