I think that in order to be a GOOD leader you need to be able to be a follower as well. The most difficult part of being a leader is being a teacher. In Order to be a teacher, a leader will need to allow those (s)he is teaching to take the lead at times in order to gain experience and confidence. A leader that will allow this not only gains more insight into those he or she is trying to lead, but will also gain the respect and confidence of those that are being led. The difference between a leader and a good leader? People will follow a leader because they have to. People will follow a good leader because they want to.

"To be truly inspired to lead, you must first have been lead by a great follower of morals." - That is what my boss told me, on the day I took over his position in our company.
