Everyone quits smoking eventually even if they have to die first. The smell lingers on clothes, hair, and breath, hands.Deodorant is used on the armpits and will not destroy the smell of cigarette smoke. It does not stunt your growth. At first, you will feel in control of the habit but then slowly but surely it creeps up on you to the point where you will smoke a pack or more a day. Smoke outside, wash your hands, use mouthwash and spray cologne in front of you and step into it. That usually works but there are nonsmokers that can smell it a mile away. Smoke 4 or less a day and if this turns into 5, it's time to quit. Cancer may not get you but emphysema will and there is nothing worse than the feeling of being smothered and not being able to breathe. I've seen many people die this way and it's ugly. The habit becomes worse because the receptors responsible for the craving multiply. You will smoke to relieve tension which cycles and returns over and over requiring more and more cigarettes. Even heroin addicts can quit heroin in 3 days, but cannot quit cigarettes. I believe nicotine is the most addictive substance on earth, but because it is legal, that label won't be placed on it. Hell smokers are thrown out of planes, restaurants, buildings, and some places require a smoker to be 50 feet away from a building. I met a patient who quit so far for 19 years and he still wants one. Stop it now before it's got you for good. Pick a date and just do it. People are so hateful towards smokers. You's think we were lepers. The cost of auto insurance, health insurance and life insurance is a lot higher than a nonsmoker. Some people act like second hand smoke kills. This has never been proven conclusively but there are those that have a psychologically based reaction to it just by smelling the smoke on someone. They start choking and getting watery eyes. It's just ridiculous. These people need a shrink. Don't be judged unfairly. It's not right but the bad treatment is there. Hang in there. At least have quitting as a possibility for you. Have a great week.

Sweetie, Stop the Smoking Now!

Yes you can wash the smell out of your hair. Any part of your body that comes into contact with the smoke will retain the smell.

Using a cover up like deoderant or cologne only masks it but it is still there and changes the smell of any deoderant and cologne.

It probably doesn't cause grow stunting. BUT, It CAN cause impotence. Big Time! Increases your risk of Heart Disease, which in turn increases the reduction of blood flow through out your body. Your penis will probably be the first part of your body to react to the reduced flow of blood. Ask me how I know.... I'm married to a smoker. And it was no fun at the age of 36 to deal with his problem.... I know that's a long time from now for you.... but trust me, looking back. 17 to 36 is not long!

Kick the cigs... they are not worth the life long health problems they can cause....

Sorry to tell you this, but you really can't hide your smoking too well, especially around non-smokers. Anyone who doesn't smoke, and especially ex-smokers, know the smell. I smoked for 14 years (8 months quit now, thank you very much! :)) and can sniff out the smokers after just 2 minutes of talking to him/her.

If it's not in your hair or clothes, I can smell it on your breath. Or your fingernails might be yellowish. Depending on how much you smoke, you will may clear your breath every so often, or your voice may get raspier. There are so many signs. Ans I'm betting your parent(s) aren't stupid.

Ive been smoking for 30 years and there is no way to get it off your person.. Your parents will find out and you will be grounded..
All kidding aside.. Quit now while its easy.. Believe me it sucks.. And after 30 years it isnt so easy anymore. Im 42 and I feel like im 60.. Cant excersize because I cant breath so now I am fat too.. When your young you feel invincible and feel like you can quit anytime.. Do it and dont ever look back.. You'll thank me in 30 years.

LoL I was an expert at covering up smoke smell from my parents..

Put some good smelling gel in your hair and get some scented lotion. Carry a bottle of perfume with me and you should be fine.

As for cigs stunting your growth.. YES IT DOES. I done know if you can continue growing after you've already stunted your growth...

Yes to most of your questions...
First smoke does get in your hair because hair is porous an appendage of the skin so cleanse the hair too after smoking.
