the tech took about 4 or 5 x-rays of my coccyx, my baby would have been concieved about a week before it happened, should I be worried?

No you dont have nothing to worry about, one week conception isnt far enough along for any damage to have been done. I assume however you have informed your OB/MW about this? What was their response?

any type of radiation does pose a risk with any type of cells. When you talk to your doctor next, be sure to tell them that you had the x-ray and ask them what the risks are and the chances of this affecting your baby. Most likely (from what I understand, anyway) if they take any action they will order an ultrasound to make sure the baby is developing normally and will continue to monitor the growth until they are sure everything is fine.

Well your tailbone is awfully close to your uterus, which is where the baby is during pregnancy. I would definitely inform your doctor, because the belief is that you should never get x-rays of that area during pregnancy due to potential damage.

when he or she was concieved is not so bad but tell ur doctor ur pregnant and they can let u know more and do a scan 2 see if ur baby is oks but it should be the xrays more affect when the baby is around 4weeks onwards i think

i'm 28 weeks and two weeks ago i had to have x-rays taken of my chest and they put a lead aporn over my belly and they told me everything would be fine you shoulld be fine but talk to your doctor about it

No. Just don't get them done while you are pregnant as it's bad for the fetus.

I'm not sure. i'd make a point to tell my doctor though. Was their lead laying in your lap?
