I don't disobey my husband - he doesn't give me orders.

Truth? It was the worst thing I have ever done although it was nothing anyone who reads this will understand why it was so tragic for me.

My fiance had been away for 7 months. Because of the nature of his work, he had been completely gone. No one heard a word from him. When he left we had decided upon a month when we would marry. Wedding contract drawn up, the works.

He was gone for those 7 months. I had no idea where he was or what he was doing, only I worried because it was very dangerous work he did. The one time we were on the phone he had been cut off and I had heard the sound of gunfire. To make a long story short, something terrible happened to him and he was flown home eventually a complete mental wreck.

He came to me in Yahoo chat. This is a man EVERYONE obeyed, just his air of command. And they almost fell over each other for the chance to serve him. I was very accustomed to obeying him because he was truly the wisest man I have ever known. He told me flat out he needed me to wait at least a year before we could wed. He needed time to get himself together.

This is when I argued with him for the first time in six years. I did not know how fragile he was at that time because I had no idea what he had been through. If I had, I would have kept quiet. However, by the time we were done, our marriage was called off.

He is remarried now to a young woman who has replaced the sons he lost on his trip and she helped him regain his youth. What can I say? There are subtleties I cannot go into here but if I had not argued.. which was to him a form of disobedience, and waited that year, things might be different. Two years later I still compare all men to him and find them lacking.

It might have been he wanted me to buy something when he was living in Jeddah, not sure, if it was that; the reason was I ran out of money and couldn't on account of we were on a limited budget. Other than that I have never disobeyed him ever. Hey, I'm gonna level with you, spanking or no spanking disobeying my husband is the very last thing I would ever do, unless it was absolutely out of my hands.

My bf/fiance is really controlling/posessive so I usually try to please him as best as I can. Yeah yeah I know a lot of women think that's a "bad" thing right? Well personally I love guys who put women in their place (that is just my preference)! I've been with him for over 5 years and I have no problems with him giving me orders =). The last time I disobeyed him was when I forgot to vacuume after I got home.

sandstorm- you have yourself your own little fan club don't you? ;)

Disobeyed? I've done something he didn't like but he never gave me an order not to do it. A male friend of mine is moving to be with his girlfriend and I had a beer with him before he left. The two guys don't like each other.

My dog "disobeyed" my husband yesterday. She ran out the gate.

But seriously... if you are concerned about disobeying your hubby or BF.... perhaps you need to reevaluate your relationship. It's not about following orders and consequences.

i disobeyed him :
i was very, very sick - so he told me to call in sick to work and stay home and get some rest.he was right, but i didn't have any vacation time/sick time to use - so i went so my paycheck would not be short.we argued about it,and i know he just wanted the best for me - but i went anyway, which was awful and delayed my getting better.he said when he told me to do something, and was serious,he didn't want me to argue-just do it.i love him very much, and he always has my best interest in mind. ♥
