There is a division in your state Capitol that can get you a copy of any certificate or title what ever. You want to contact the state capitol division of records in the sate your were born and make your request. You usually have to seend the fee and a prepaid postage envelope included with your name and address on it, so all they do is make a copy collect the fee and send it to you. Do a google search of your birth state Capitol I bet it will have a website with contact numbers and offices.

You need to determine where you were born (city/county/state).

In Michigan, you contact the County Clerk's office at the county courthouse for a copy of your birth certificate. In Michigan, the birth certificates are located in the county courthouse, based on which county you were born in.

Contact the office of records or vital statistics in the county in which you were born. With your name, yoiur parents' names, and your date of birth, as well as a fee (about $15 in many places), they will be happy to sell you a new one. Be smart, and order more than one copy.
