Okay well I just turned 19, and I am a very open minded person. If I have a muslim friend, to me its just like having any other friend, its doesnt matter what religion they are, or if they dress with a hijab or not. I have muslim family members because I am half Indian... so I have been exposed to the culture and muslim women.

I think that they are smart to wear the Burkahs as most of the men over there have been so sheltered from beauty that they are overly horndogs and there are not enough women to go around because of mutliple wife households and so they are really protecting themselves from attack. It is also the reason for all the aggression in the men and the militants over there because if you are not rich then you won't get a wife and probably never will. At least if you are covered up then there is less chance of some horny islamist to get excited about you. Thier culture is so different from ours. as far as muslim women here in the states I think they are no different from our women and shouldn't be made to act differently. Power to the Woman all over the world.

I'm an adult well over 16 (I'm 50.)
I think I can honestly say that I think the same about Muslim women that I think about Christian women. First, it's a matter of the individual- I don't have any Muslim friends at the moment but I have had them in my life and I treasured them.
But I must admit that just as I do with Christian women who belong to the sects where women are considered subservient to men, I wonder what losses they experience because of their religious convictions, and I wonder what irretrievable sacrifices they've made. I am not proud to admit that I sometimes feel sorry for them. Not just the Muslim women- the fundamentalist Christian women, too.

I am an adult.
I have lived in the Middle East, North Africa, Europe, etc.
I find them to be mostly good mothers and daughters, mostly nice (with some exceptions, just like everyone has exceptions), and intelligent, even when they are not educated.
They are true to their religion.
Sometimes when conservatively raised women leave a conservative area they become "wild".
I find this not to be true of the Muslim women, even American ones.

Adult male 28 I think muslim women are very down trodden and repressed.
I live in an area that has a large muslim population and I see it every day. It makes me feel great sadness for them.
