1. Not sure what kind of tuner I want, I want one where theres a button and you have to select the string you want to tune and then move onto the next. Not the kind where you just play the string and it detects what kind of note this is, what kind of tuner is this?

2. Any ideas how to strenghten my hands as Im struggling with my hands on the frets.

You are looking for a digital tuner. Don't worry about hand strength, you don't need strong hands to play guitar, you need to work on flexibility and speed (moving fingers of left hand to change chords). As you practice your hands will become gradually stronger and more flexible, the most important thing is that your hand position and techniqe is correct. Don't tense your hands or grip the neck with your thumb, your thumb rests lightly on the back of the neck and you only need to apply enough pressure to the frets to get a clean sound with no buzzing, don't have to press any harder than that.

1. Chromatic tuners are cheap and easy to use. Why do you want something that is more complex and will cost a lot more?

2. Apart from practicing, you can strengthen your hand with a squash ball. Very cheap - keep it in your pocket squeeze hold and release.use your whole hand, then just a single finger, one at a time. Don't get a Grip master or any other similar device designed to strengthen hands or fingers, they are more expensive than a squash ball, and not as good (also you can't play squash with one!)

1. Not sure what you mean here, check your local store though, if they dont have anything, they will be able to order for you whatever you desire.

2. Practice like mad! Lots of websites exist that are dedicated to beginning guitarists and people who want to build up their chops (playing strength+speed). You should be able to learn the basics without having to spend money on lessons or books, but if you are having a hard time, a guitar teacher may be the best way to go.

The second u mention is a chromatic tuner.

To strengthen try ths excersise...play the first four frets in every string with your 4 fingers, and try not to raise any finger while you do it....just play up and down..maybe as you watch tv...:)
eg. when pinky goes for 4th fret all other 3 fingers must be in 1st 2nd and 3rd accordingly
