I dont know the house feels empty without the telly on.

me and the missus have stopped eating dinner in front of the tv and now sit at the table with radio one on in the background whilst eating and more importantly talking. the television has its place as an occasional diversion or something to keep you company if you're at home on your own but i think it is the most anti-social device created for the home. next time you have a few people round and you're all having drinks and conversation, pop the telly on and bingo! a room full of zombies!!!

Ride my motorcycle.
Listen to my CDs.
Play computer games.
Read a book.
Go for a walk.
Browse the Internet.
Visit friends.
Visit family.
Do some gardening.
Go to the pub.
Do some home D.I.Y.
Go to the beach.
Go to a gig.
(Life doesn't begin and end with TV - unless you are very, very sad...)

I would absolutely love it if there were no more tvs. The one and only drawback I can think of is that TVs can be a legitimate learning tool in the classroom, etc. Everything else (about TV) tends to drain people's time and energy while they could be doing something much more effective with their time.

Tv isnt new.its been around for ???well at least 60 years...doesnt answer your question but i think it would get a bit boring without it at all....it'll be like saying in 20 or so years what would you do without the computer??now theres a thought.

u cud go outside nn play with friends, go on ur computer, sleep, do homework, walk ur dog,talk on the phone,play an instrument, go to the library nn many other things

read do loads of hobbys go on computer thats what i do go for a ride on my motor cycle live life, you dont get far sat on a couch
