When is the best time to fertilize my calla lillies?

I'm planting them today, and I'm not sure when to fertilize. Thanks!

I always put fertilizer beside (on both sides) everything when I plant things. Mine are coming up from last year so I will fertilize them this week. When you plant bulbs, put some bone meal (sold in all garden sections) in there too. Boy does it make them grow strong.
