the formula for the volume of a sphere is V=4/3 pi r^3. find the radius, to the nearest hundredth, of a sphere with a volume of 15in^3.

Just plug in 15 for V and solve...

15 = (4/3)(pi)(r^3)
45 = 4 (pi) r^3
3.581 = r^3
1.53 = r

You can do the mathy stuff, just find the cube root of 45/ 4 pi

15 = (4/3) * Pi * r^3

45/(4 Pi) = r^3

r = (45/(4Pi))^(1/3)
