I don't know that we were "invented" so much as "the result of natural selection over hundreds of thousands of years."

Humans evolved because that's how nature works. Following natural physical laws, that happen to exist, we evolved into what we are, a sentient species able to ask the question, "Why were humans invented."

the word invented means "To produce or contrive (something previously unknown) by the use of ingenuity or imagination."
Fact: the book of Genesis tells us that God created man in His own image, forming man from the dust of the earth and breathing into his nostrils the breath of life (Genesis 1:26-27; 2:7). The fact that God made man in his image and likeness delineates the most fundamental difference between humans and other creatures.
