They are fine with room to grow. Even though mollies can get 5" (Yes they really can) you are fine. Even if they have fry.
Toss out the 1" per gallon rule since it is for newbees and those who do not know how to determine fish per gallon ratios.

Sounds like you could add some more fish to that tank! Just be careful with the mollies! I had some in a tank with some other fish and the mollie kept attacking the other fish. One thing to watch for too is that mollies birth their babies alive (unlike most fish). We found about 6 baby mollies in the tank, unfortunately didn't have the equipment to keep the babies safe.

That's a good number for the size of tank you have. And you could fit in a few more. If you've got males and females of both kinds, they'll be happy to try and help you in that department, because both are easy to breed.

1 inch of fish per gallon. if it's a ten gallon, you can have up to 10 1-inch fish. just remember, fish get bigger.

Thats plenty of room, its every inch of fish, per gallon, so you have room to get like 4 more fish if you like
