when i first heard spider-man 1 was coming out i thought topher Grace was going to be spider-man not this nasty piece of crap that is playing him right now. Who thinks that topher grace should have been spider-man from the start. because in the comic ( and im only 15 years old but i read the issues from the 70's) spider-man/ peter parker are supposed to be funny and has some wit to them but i don't think this guy playing him bring that to the character...... wheew. glad i got that off my chest.

I have been satisfied with Tobey Maguire performances in the first two installments. I don't think Topher Grace could have contributed any more than Tobey. Let's face it, it's the Special Effects that are the real star in these movies.
Are there any regrets as far as J. Jonah Jameson? I hope not cause that guy seems to have that roll down pat.

Part of the reason spiderman 1 and 2 box office are much successful than, say, superman or batman is not only the storyline but the great acting of the casts.
Anyone can play spiderman with intensive training on the body, but not everybody can play Peter Parker. Tobey just have that right chemistry in playing Peter Parker.

I think the casting was not great. But McGuire does an ok job. Honsetly, as a life long Spider-man fan, I want to see more Spidey in the movies and less Peter Parker, no matter who is playing him.

Comedy is all Topher Grace can do, and not very well at that. Tobey Maguire can act, whether seriously or comically. That's why he gets to wear the tights.

My husband and I were just talking about this. He likes the guy who plays Peter Parker and I don't. I think hollywood could have done a better job.

Tobey Maguire is a fine actor who in my opinion nailed the part of PP.
Topher Grace is not fit to lace Tobeys shoes.

I don't know who that guy is but. Toby M is really good. And he makes it more exciting because he can really pull some looks off and yea..

I don't know who your talkin bout but i thought toby mcguire was really good in spider man. And my brother looks exactly like toby. Awesome!!!
