George W. Bush will go down in history as America's worst President (to date). Consider his track record:
a) Lied to the American people just to get us involved in an unconstitutional and illegal war against another sovereign nation that in now way threatened, provoked or attacked the U.S.A.;
b) Reckless economic policies that will surely result in an enormous depression shortly after he leaves office (which will make 1929 look like a cake walk);
c) Condoned the physical, verbal, and sexual abuse of 'detainees' in direct violation of the rules of the Geneva Convention, which the U.S. has signed;
d) Hid the fact from the American people that the CIA had 'secret' prisons where prisoners were tortured;
e) Leads one of the most scandal-ridden administrations in the history of the United States;
f) Used his father's wealth and influence to "win" his first election under suspect circumstances;
g) Has never been truthful about his drug-and-alcohol abuse in his younger days, or his military service;
h) Ignores the Constitution and laws of this land as he has turned our country into a police state wherein citizens are considered guilty until proven innocent;
i) Planned to invade Iraq from the very first day he was in office, just because his family had a personal vendetta against Saddam Hussein ever since Desert Storm;
j) Was probably involved in - or at least knew about - the 'terrorist attacks' on 09-11-01;
k) Lied to the country about our real purpose for being in Iraq: OIL and WAR PROFITEERING;
l) Defies common logic and stubbornly continues to bury his head in the sand over Iraqi issues;
m) Isn't intelligent enough to form a simple sentence, and at times degrades American soldiers and their families;
n) Blindly supports cretins like his former Secretary of Defense and his current Attorney General, even when members of his own party condemn their performances;
o) Takes no responsibility or assumes no accountability for the deaths of 675,000 Iraqi citizens and 3,300 U.S. soldiers - all who have died in vain because of his crazy emperor's pride and hubris;

Bush is a president who meant well with his first actions but then strayed from the orignal point of his war. Bush is not a good or a bad president he is just a president that did what he could, and then became a little greedy in his actions and if you call him a bad president for that then you must also call at least two thirds of our presidents bad as well

He certainly isn't the best President ever. On the War on Terrorism and a few other things, he's very strong; when it comes to a lot of other things, especially domestic matters, he seems to turn into mush. Also, I don't like the No Child Left Behind act, as its effect and intent were to literally socialize education in a fashion with the hope that it would help children receive a better education; just like any other government initiative on the same topic, it did not. The energy policy which he pushed through in 2005 scared me more than a little: changing Daylight Savings Time in the hope that it will save energy (which it won't -- a day is the same length whether the government says it is or not) set off my radar when it happened. He could certainly stand to be stronger on immigration -- I'm all for people coming into the country, so long as they follow the rules.
Compared to our alternatives, though (Kerry or, God forbid, Gore), he's positively marvelous. I'm glad he's so firm on his stance with the war in Iraq, and I hope the next President will be as well.

I actually support President Bush on a lot of what he's done for our country. But I think he has failed to properly explain himself to the American people, and has some absoultely TERRIBLE public relations people. If Bush were to get up in front of the country and say "This is the problem, this is what I'm doing to fix it, and this is how long I think it will take" then I think a lot of Americans would feel differently about him. But he hasn't, and the polls show it.
What I find pathetic however, is that in 2004 the American people voted for Bush to continue doing what he was doing in regards to both the War On Terror AND the War in Iraq. Then two years later in 2006 they voted for democrats to try and stop Bush from doing what they all voted for him to continue doing! Bush is doing EXACTLY what Americans voted for him to do. The problem is that Americans have changed their minds!

He as the primary maker of us foreign policy has been a complete and utter failure. He was in way over his head when he started the job and never really learned how to do it. There is an art to negotiation that he doesn't understand how to do. He doesn't negotiate with those who he deems enemies, but just tells them to capitulate everything without anything in return. Domestically he cut taxes and then went to war, something that never occured before in US HISTORY! That is ridiculous since it basically means that in a decade we will still be paying for this war. Now i'm not for or against tax cuts in general, but that is just stupid. Then there is his endless assault on the constitution by using the rubber stamp congress to expand his powers to the point where he can be a war criminal but still be with in our laws.

I don't think he is bad at all. I think he is doing a really good job for the most part. I don't agree with him on every point but I do like him. I wish he would deport the illegal aliens and close the southern border.

Bush is a bad president because he has repeatedly violated the oath he took to "protect, preserve, and defend The Constitution."

It all boils down to this: Unless you're a wealthy right-wing good-ol-boy like him, he just... doesn't... give a damn about you. Much like his father, although the father was merely indifferent to others; the son is openly hostile to them.
Since Bill Clinton appears to have convinced the father than people not like him matter (only took him about 13 years!), maybe one day he can convince the son as well. Nah, even Bill Clinton isn't that talented.
