Yes, it possible. Although some women do not feel it that early, you sure can. If some women did not feel theirs at 8 weeks, that doesn't mean you can't!
I have had previous surgeries on my uterus and I have an intramural fibroid. I felt flutters very early, and my perinataologist said YES it's possible even if it's your first pregnancy or if you have a normal uterus. At 8 weeks you certainly can feel a flutter, it's not like there are no nerve endings in your uterus for Pete's sake.
If you were to have an internal ultrasound you could tell the doctor when you feel the baby move, and they could tell you if the baby was indeed moving at that time, which would confirm it. I felt all of mine early and had internal ultrasounds. I could turn my head away from the ultrasound screen/monitor and let them know when I felt flutters. The doc confirmed that they baby was moving around.
The nay sayers should ask a PERINATOLOGIST about it, but most of them only believe what an OB says or what they read online. I listen to the people with the most education. By the way Obstetrics is just one tiny step above a general practitioner, so it's not like it's the hardest area to specialize in, people.
I would listen to a brain surgeon about a stroke with more confidence than a GP, too. More education and more time inside skulls. It's just common sense!

Um, I suppose anything is possible, but the earliest I've ever heard of is around 11 weeks or so. Your baby is not very big at all, like the size of a piece of popcorn at this point. Your baby is not even up as high as your belly either. Your uterus is still very small and low. Baby usually starts moving in weeks 8, but you probably won't actually feel movement until your fifth month. I think it is more likely to be gas! Congratualtions though, and I know when you do feel your baby, it will be awesome!!

I'm not sure if it's possible at 8 weeks but I do know it feels like little mice feet crawling in your stomach or like a bubble popping in your stomach. I'm 14 weeks today and my baby has been moving a lot more than it ever has. I think I started feeling my baby kick around 9 weeks, so maybe it is possible:)
By the way, Congrats:)

I highly doubt it, but the best person to ask is a doctor. I've heard some people say they felt there baby move very early like 10 weeks but never 8 weeks. They are still very very small. Not even a full inch yet. I was still nick naming my baby peanut at that stage cos thats about the size they are. I'm 30 weeks with my first now. Good luck, and believe me you will feel he/she kick one day soon.

The embryo is about 10mm, less than a half inch long. The baby starts to practice moving at 8 weeks but dont think you would be able to feel it yet.
Around 20 weeks you will probably start feeling the first fetal movements.
Good luck

Most likely it was gas or somehting moving in your intestines. It is hard to tell the real thing if this is your first, but when you feel it you will know. To me, it feels like a goldfish fluttering around in you abdomen. It comes and goes but there will be spurts of movement early on. I am on my second pergnancy and I am 12 weeks . I thought too I might be feeling movement but it was gas. I was 5 months along when I felt it in my first pregnancy. good luck to you!

Baby's length (crown to rump) is 0.61 inch (1.6cm) and weight is 0.04 ounce (1gm) Approximately at 8 weeks along.
In week 9 is when the baby starts to move but you can't feel it. I'm sure when the baby is big enough and it moves you'll know it's the baby. As far as right now it's too early to tell.

The baby is really small at this point about the size of a peanut and arms and legs are more like little stubs. Its probably not the baby you feel it may move at this point but its to small to feel. If you are feeling it often though you may be farther than you expected.

Although your baby may indeed be moving, it's impossible for you to feel it yet. At 8 weeks, he or she is only about the size of a raspberry or cocktail olive.
What you felt may have been gas or could have been the stretching of your uterus.
Best wishes on your pregnancy!
