That depends on if you are really interested in expanding yourself or if you just want a degree. Being bad at math could be the reason to take the class so you learn to be better at it. However, if you just want the degree then don't take it. I have three business degrees (MIS, Finance, MBA) and the only math I do is on a calculator or programed into a computer.

If you are not very good with math, let me ask you this.

In business, almost every professional level position will require the ability to understand financial statements and interpret financial results. While in a larger company there may be others to help you, lack of understanding financial concepts may hinder your chances for a promotion. The people that get ahead in business are those that can get results for an employer, and that usually means the person that adds the most value. Today, I'd say that most employers want you to be able to make them money.

So, take the class and classes in accounting and finance as well. I wasn't very good with math. When I started college 3 years ago, I could not work with fractions. I passed not only remedial math (where I learned once and for all how to do fractions) but also two more advanced classes as well.

If your college is worth its salt, they should have tutorial assistance available for you if you are struggling with a class. Just check with the student services center and they can help you find a tutor.

Yes -- you should take it. You should take it specifically because you are NOT good at math.

I do not know if you will find it difficult. It should be easier than the introductory math class that science majors tke.
