methinks its a stage of a journey, an experience akin to an absence of worry, a part of something but can be switiched offf and on by events and ones emotional reaction to them!

Happiness is a journey, we are neither happy or sad or any other emotion all of the time, we are constantly on a journey hoping to get to some unknown destination (i don't think that anyone has their true destination picked out for themself).

Journey

I see it as neither of the above. Happiness can never truly be found unless you are the one fighting for it to be there. It isn’t just given, it never could. So then I must say that it as happiness is a never ending battle, between all that there is in this world. We have to then ask ourselves what really is happiness? How do we get it, and where it can be found if there really is such a place, I am not one to say?
For some it is obvious that they have already found happiness, and for others it is there clear as the day of the new dawn. Then there are those that hide their darkness, and only pretend that they are happy, when there is really something else that is there. It’s a dark journey that has to be sought out, to be earned if you ever wish to enjoy it.

I'm on a journey, the destination changes, but I manage to run into happiness on a daily basis. I think that's a pretty good track record.

Happiness is more of a journey than a destination. I carry my happy with me; it's not some place I'm hoping to get to one day in some misty future.

Both.

The journey is happiness becuase your going to get to your destination which too will make you happy.

Your destination will make you happy because you can say "well look on the journey i've come"

The journey is better than the destination.

Good question, made me think, even so happiness is a journey. A trip we all take, it is very rarely something you just happen to arrive at.If it were that simple we would all be there a lot sooner and would now be giving you a different answer! However, just to make you think, some people believe that happiness is only found in very short bursts throughout life.I think it depends on how you percieve things.

Neither!!! Life is the journey, the next higher level of existence is the destination..... "Happiness" is the vehicle that one accomplishes both with.
