Because they feel safe and not taken forgranted. It is easy to stay excited about the attached married man when you don't have to wash his dirty underware, and socks. Living with this man will not always be the the tender loving fantasy that he is under normal conditions. You are not exposed to his everyday quirks, him paying his bills, tending to his kids, he is completely different from the way you choose to know him without any of that. When you are in your own world with him there is no outside influence......only the quiet little world that you have created for yourselves. When all the real life issues are attached to him he looks like a different person and probably is! The fact that he is with you on the outside already is showing his character in how he deals with problems,and committment. Often it is a big red flag we choose not to see. We are feeling so special and so good that nothing else matters just this special place in time. A married man is so attentive to our needs .....and we just believe that we are the choosen one ........the only one that understands him. Many women get involved with them for the drama it includes.........Many to just feel sorry for ourselves......when we spend all the holidays alone. We think we are first best when in reality we are second. Maybe because we don't think we deserve the most out of life,to be more than that? Some just like the challenge to see if they can take the married man away from the wife,and once they do become bored with the man. For some single men don't hold their idea of fun, and excitement. The woman may feel not as in control and fear a single man may try to do that.. women love married men even though they should know better. They are like any addict loving the thrill of constantly being on a roller coaster ride.

Some women prefer an affair with married men because they do not have to worry about getting to involved. The same as a man that has affairs with married women. It is the freedom to enjoy the moment so to speak. With no worry of having to get along on a daily basis.

I couldn't tell you for sure as everyone is different. However, some believe that if a man is married, he must be a good guy and women want good guys. A good woman, though, will not act on any feelings that she has for a married man as she knows it is wrong.
