A picture of you printed on a pillow. He can go to bed thinking of you. Go to a store that personilzes items. They have pillow shams there or yu can bring your own.

Good luck and congrats

I know all too well how hard it is having a loved one deployed, especially on a very special occassion for you both.

What I think is a good idea is getting a care package together, try getting some pictures of you and him together adn putting them in one of those small photo albums and decorating it. Also get him a nice card to put in there, write him a little love note, and put some of his favorite treats in there. Also put some little love coupons in there for him, but make them yourself, that way it will give him a little extra something to look forward to come home too.

I did that for my husband on one of our anniversaries when he was deployed, HE LOVED IT. By the way I hope your husbands time goes by superfast but most of all his safety is the most important thing. God Speed to you and your family.

From one military spouse to the other. Take care and god bless you and your family.

Being a veteran from Desert Storm,I think I have a great suggestion for you.You don't want to send him something that is going to take up alot of room, lost or damaged. My wife had a female friend take a few pictures of her(nude, semi nude) and attached a little greeting that said "Happy anniversary, even though we are thousands of miles apart,I just wanted to send you a little something to show you what you have to look forward to when you return home".let me tell you..it has been 16 years and I still carry the note in my wallet.

Don't go crazy cuz he'll have to cart it around with him and if it gets broken, stolen or lost you are going to be mad at him.

get him something small or write him a really good love letter or poem telling him how much you appreciate and love him.

another little neat idea is to look up money or dollar origami and make him a heart out of a dollar that he can carry in his wallet.

Happy Anniversary.

First of all, I thank your husband for his service and sacrifices. God bless him!!!

I don't know if this would appeal to you, but check out this website: http://www.worrystone.net/
They make these wonderful pottery worry stones with different sayings on them. The thumbprint in the middle makes them perfect to hold. I got a whole bunch of them for my husband for our last anniversary - I picked all the ones that I thought represented our marriage. Since your husband needs to travel lightly, you might want to just get one or a few. He can carry it/them in his pocket and rub it/them when he needs to feel your strength and love.

Best of luck to you, and happy anniversary!!!!
