I believe there should be...for example, boys should be taught that if they are going down a street and see a woman or man in need of help (say they have a flat tire) then they should be taught to do so. Also, they should be more free to pick up hitchhikers. However, those things are too dangerous for women to do. In addition, girls should be taught that if a male relative such as their older brother, father, adult male cousin, uncle, etc. is there they may open the door to a stranger and offer hospitality such as a hot meal. However, if no male relative is present they should be taught not to open the door. Men should be taught to open the door to everyone except who they feel uncomfortable with. Women should be expected to keep the inside of the house in order while the man keeps the outside in order and also provides food on the table and a place to sleep. There are so many other things I could list but the important thing is to quit being upset at double standards. Agreed?

Of course there should be different rules for men and women but most of the rules for women should be laid down by the husband or father of the the woman.
Some of the rules should definitely be enforced by the government though.
I think there should also be strict dress codes for women, especially married ones and you are completely right about us not opening doors to strangers (unless there is another male in the house) and changing tires is way too difficult for a woman.
You are great for caring so much about us women and I know you do your best to protect us even though most of the time we don't deserve it.
My opinion doesn't matter much because I'm just a female but I hope you read it anyway sweetie!
I love you master! XOXO

No, I don't agree. You're acting like women can't look after themselves.
And besides, not all men can change a tyre. Just because the person is a man do not assume they can change a tyre. Who's saying that women can't change tyres by themselves?

I'm all FOR random acts of kindness, but seriously why do men have to be so chivalrous?

According to your laws, women are completely incapable of looking after themselves. They need a male relative to be present to answer the door? What's going on here?

Hm. I agree with your initial question, but after reading the question details, I don't agree anymore. I think that while men and women are equal, we're still different. BUT, I don't think it really matters who opens a door, and it's no safer for a man to help someone than a woman stopping to help someone.
