He does seem to think he owns the world. I believe it is probably his life long ambition to do just that. Yes, the last leader with similar ambitions killed himself in a Berlin bunker in 1945.

Because his world is very very small. He seems to know nothing outside of Texas if you ask me.

Did you know that he actually asked the president of Brazil this:

"It is said about the US president that before 9-11 he thought that the Taliban was a Bavarian brass band. Now the president of the world's most powerful nation has put his foot in his mouth yet again. It was Condoleezza Rice, his national security advisor who had to rescue the situation. When talking with Brazilian president Fernando Henrique Cardoso, 71, Bush surprisingly asked: "Do you have Blacks too?" Ms. Rice noticed how stunned and surprised Cardoso looked and quickly told Bush that Brazil likely has more blacks than the US and that outside of Africa it was the place with the highest number of blacks. The Brazilian president remarked later that Bush was "still in a learning-phase" when it came to South America."

Stop and think for a moment...take a walk through the politics section of this forum and review all the postings about America being the biggest and the best and the strongest. Bush comes by his impression honestly...as the overwhelming majority of Americans believe that their country is the most important and influential in the world. With that, it is only natural that a dimwitted leader of that country would draw the natural conclusion he has...

Because he thinks with the American empire mentality.

America is the richest and most powerful country in the world and Americans think that they are superior to all others.
Therefore Americans (most, not all) do not know and do not care to know, and do not think it is important to know and are against to know (knowing) about others. That "do not know" is about foreign writers, philosophers, religions, you name it.
Americans are not only non intellectuals, they are anti- intellectuals. Romans thought very similarly to the average American even after the beginning of the end of the Roman empire.

In this world of ours, today , Pres. Bush carries the big stick. That always means that the rest of us sit up and listen because what he says could affect our lives. It has been so and will always be so.

Sometimes Bush really gets to me.

I can hear him up on his big white horse, singing Step down turn around pick a bale of cotton. And grinning while he sings.

Because he is power hungry and he thinks he owns the universe..but you know what, what good comes to a man who is selfish and only thinks of self. NOTHING....I'm so glad he is getting out of office soon. I cannot stand the way he runs this country and I feel so bad for the troops in Iraq fighting on behalf of a man...not a country (US). That aint no war thats a man made fight produced by Bush.
