What were the effects of the bay of pigs on CUBAN SOCIETY?

The primary effect was that it solidified Castro as undisputed leader of the island nation and also made certain that Communism would win out in this country, no matter what the cost, because the other choice was an oppressive and intervening USA to the North. Unfortunately, while almost every other country on the fact of the earth has realized that communism and dictatorships don't work, at all, ever, Cuba has hung on to its own version. The result is that the people have suffered. The end result of communism making everyone equal, is that it makes everyone equal in their poverty. This is Cuba.

At the time they celebrated to defeat the Usa, but the long term effects You have seen as they happened... If not, it sure wasnt anything positive for Cuban society...Only my opinion.
