Explain to Lou that the water in the pool is not safe for him with all the chemicals in it. Tell him that you love him too much to allow him to endanger his life like that. Maybe if you offer to get the 'lil guy a bigger bowl to play in he will be happier.

Take Lou to the pool and set his bowl near the pool and
go swimming so both of you can enjoy the pool.
