haha My mother was deaf in one ear for years (she had an operation to fix it) so yes! but it made it easy to sneak right out the front door..she should have never told me she slept on her good ear

No, that happens when I go to my aunt's house. However neither she or my cousins is deaf, but I still can't get any sleep if the tv is on, because it seems they set up the volume so the whole block can hear.

I'm not all that into TV, but my father was. He died young, but I think he must've been losing his hearing, because about half a year before his passing, he'd crank the TV up to terrible volumes, and it made it nearly impossible for me to do my homework. I'd have to go to the public library to escape the noise.

That wouldn't bother me so much. What bothers me is when the tv is loud enough so you can hear it's on but it's low enough that you can only make out every other word and have no idea what show is on.

Had a deaf neighbour, I could hear every word on here tv and when she had a conversation with the Budgie..........that didnt reply to her.......

lol actually i hear it because i have extremely good hearing........ i hear when people are walking around the house and if someone is whispering, i can even hear (if i focus) every word someone is saying when the door of their room is closed =)
