It's pretty bad. I remember when I first started driving, I could put a dollar in and it would get me to school and back, with some left over. Now, to fill up my tank it takes over $30!! It really annoys me. People say there is nothing we can do, but gas companies know we can't go without it, so they can raise the prices as much as they want. No one cares about us little people.

Those prices aren't even close to what is paid on the West coast (where the refineries are). Regular here is $3.31 and Premium is $3.75......and prices are high do to several reasons but mostly because we are using more as consumer right no more than ever, as supply and demand is the issue, of course the additives that are put in the California gas adds cost, and the state and fed taxes really bulk it up. did you knw that the oil company of see 9 cents a gallon for profit...whose the bad guy here?

Here in San Diego the lowest price I can find is $3.20 a gallon. What's disgusting is that only an idiot would believe that this is a result of "supply and demand". If that were true, Exxon would not be earning record profits every quarter. They claim that their mark-up to retailers hasn't changed. So why are they making so much profit?
Furthermore, isn't it an interesting coincidence that gas prices have hit record prices during an administration where both the president and vice-president made their fortunes in the oil business?

Yes, it is getting disgusting. Having lived in Texas for 9 years and seeing oil wells shut down (no profit, no oil being pumped) made me sick. In America, we have a lot of people who are unemployed and if America stopped buying foreign oil and opened up our wells, a lot of those people could be put back to work! Poor Halliburton and their legal robbing of not only the Middle Eastern people and countries, but also America! We need to demand that our lawmakers act on our behalf, because the prices we see are manipulated by the the oil barons of the world and not by supply and demand!!!!

Yeah, it's disgusting...
Frankly, I've been sick of gas prices for awhile...that's why I am developing a high-performance, all electric, motor. One of it's purposes is for use in vechicles.
The prototype I'm working on right now is installed in a motorcycle. For legal reasons, I cannot disclose anymore info. Just know that someone is out there solving the problem. :)

You obviously don't live in SF Bay Area where gas averages over $3 for the cheap stuff.

I think it's completely ridiculous how much people talk about gas prices! Lots of prices go up and down. Get over it!

Don't move to California. It's like $3.25 a gallon here because of special environmental processing and state taxes.

Crude up over a dollar today with HU (unleaded gas) up 4.3cents.
The wholesale price won't drop til just before Memorial day.
I'll run some charts to see how high it will go if you'd like.

Try $3.35 a gallon in SD CA
Lets convince the environmentalists to let us build some new refineries so the price can ease.. NO libs say
OK
Lets start drilling more in our own country so we are not so dependent on foreign oil...NO libs say
OK
Lets lower the .30+ cents per gallon taxes.. No libs say.
Well libs, WTF are we going to do, those are our ideas about lowering the price and you shoot them all down..
