I have a yellow angel fish and a black and yellow angel fish. Not sure if their boys or girls but they will lock lips and shove each other. Not sure if they like each other or dislike each other but i currently have them seperated and they go up to the divider and jump at each other. Its hilarious! Has anyone had similiar experiences?

believe it or not, angel fish are seriously aggressive fish.. the only problem is, they can't back up their aggression. They are like bullies with butterfly wings. Most of the time you can only have angels with angels and if they don't like each other they will begin to demostrate aggression by forcing each other into corners by pressing mouths. It's fun to watch but it stresses the fish to the point of losing color, not eating and then eventually dying. You need to monitor these fish and consider removing the most hostile one. Good luck.

That would most likely be a territorial battle. It's also possible that they are beginning to mate and without more info on the age of the fish and the size of the tank it would be a 50/50 guess.

Its not very funny watching creatures kill each other, they are probably both males and are trying to seem prettier and tougher than each other, my fish did that a lot so I separated them.

the difficulty is on your mind's eye. needless to say once you're imagining made up creatures you fail to think of the two their fossils or individuals that are transitional. In genuine existence, all fossils are transitional, yet you're able to would desire to understand evolution to understand why.

this is normal in male angelfish and every male cichlid,if you happened to have a female present the stronger male could quite easily kill the subordinate male.
