just in a different form, and if so,does it exist forever? and is everything that way,and if so,what does that mean for the existence of life itself,(Very bored right now,so i thought i'd figure out the meaning of life, with my brilliant 9th grade mind) O,and its my birthday today,so any Happy Birthdays are welcome!!!!

Yes, physicists call this a "world line", or the line in space and time where a thing exists (either as energy or a particle).

What does it mean? It means that life is a process, not a static thing. Life is impermanent and always in flux. For example, if you have a glass, it is best to think of it as already shattered, as given enough time it will be shattered, obliterated, etc. But, it is still useful at this point in time, so it is not necessary to throw it out yet. If you think of the glass as already shattered, you will not be upset when it does shatter as that is it's nature.

Happy birthday!

Listen, you're in the wrong category with this question. This is something Greek philosophers might have asked 2500 years ago, before there was much knowledge about about molecular theory, phase changes, etc.

Water, in it's liquid form, is made up of molecules of water, which remain molecules of water as they evaporate. In that sense the liquid doesn't exist, but the water still does.

If you want to pull something philosophical out of that go even deeper, like do the molecules of water exist, or do the observed components that make up molecules of water (atoms, then protons and neutrons, then quarks, then strings (maybe), etc) exist.

That way you can masturbate your mind for as long as you like.

Water, the molecule, is composed of 2 hydrogen atoms and 1 oxygen atom. No matter what form it is in, solid (ice), liquid or vapor, it is still water and it still exists. In a sense, thinking along the lines of the meaning of life, Jesus drank some of the water molecules we all drink today, since what goes around comes around, and water recycles. However, electrolysis (passing electrical current through water) can break the molecule apart into its component parts, and when that happens, it ceases to be water and becomes hydrogen and oxygen gas.

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday, April 23, 2007.
When water evaporates, it doesn't exist in the same form.
Some water becomes clouds, some becomes part of the ocean, some condenses into dew on the ground, and some comes back as rain, snow, hail, etc. The water doesn't go away and never come back, it reforms into something.

yes, of course it exists as water vapor. When enough water vapor gets in the air, it rains or mists...forms dew, condensation and other neat tricks.

For the most part...matter is constant...it can be converted to and from energy. I'd explain it but I don't want that 9th grade head to explode.

Happy birthday 2u.
It becomes a gas and difficult to measure, so in most cases it is believed to not exist anymore. Unless you live here- the high humidity is a reminder the "water" is in the air. LOL

Yes, it is vapor and as the vapor cools it becomes a liqued again somewhere else. I suppose this could be said about all things, even human life. We die and and our souls vaporise into the air and go to, well depending on your religion, wherever souls go when your body cesses to work. Its all just a big circle. Oh, and Happy Birthday!

Yes it still exists. It goes from a liquid state to a gaseous state. So it does exists just like air exists.

yes it still exists as water vapour, matter cannot be created or destroyed.

..well actually under very particular circumstances, it can, but im not even aware if anyone has been able to do it, so lets not get into it.

Happy Birthday...

Nothing is ever destroyed... merely transformed... atoms & molecules combine, recombine, come apart and recombine all the time...

It means we are all connected one way or another.
