Smart people question the "man made" global warming theory.

The "man made" global warming theory has been proven wrong.

Here are Phds that disagree with the global warming theory:

It is now known that the sun is causing the global warming. All of the planets in the solar system have global warming, including Pluto(which is no longer called a planet).

NASA data shows temperatures have only increased by 0.65 of a degree in the last 100 years.

I'm using my previous answer, with modifications to make my point clearer. For some conservatives it's not a case of a specific motivation, just "general principles". If liberals, environmentalists, or, worst, Al Gore say something it simply must be wrong. If Rush Limbaugh says global warming is a liberal hoax, it's a liberal hoax. This is a large chunk of the skeptics. You can't change that, but it may change as more and more indisputable conservatives accept mostly man made global warming as real. Such as: "Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich challenged fellow conservatives Tuesday to stop resisting scientific evidence of global warming" “DuPont believes that action is warranted, not further debate." Charles O. Holliday, Jr., CEO, DuPont "Pat Robertson (very conservative Christian leader) “It is getting hotter and the ice caps are melting and there is a build up of carbon dioxide in the air. We really need to do something on fossil fuels.” Clearly, those people didn't get that from Al Gore. The solution to global warming must be an International one, where we essentially negotiate what our laws will be with other countries, and agree to assume an International obligation to other countries. For some conservatives the very idea of doing that is unacceptable. If you neglect the general principles factors, and only look at specifics like "the oil industry" you won't be able to deal with the issue effectively. Personally, I think general principles are what's driving the politics of the issue.

I think based on their record in Congress, and in the White House, the Republicans probably deny global warming the most. Senator James Inhoffe (R-OK) said that "global warming is the greatest hoax ever perpetrated" and used to be in charge of the Senate Committee on the Environment and Public Works. Our current president has reversed many of the efforts of the prior administration to curb greenhouse gasses and limit global warming's impact. Many Republican members of congress consistently vote against many anti-warming legislation.

That being said, the Democrats haven't really accomplished much on the global warming front. Yes, the campaign on it, and Al Gore made a movie about it. But in terms of actual legislation, their track record is less than stellar. The debate over Kyoto originated during the Clinton administration, and was merely solidified by the current administration.

But if I had to pick one which "denies" global warming, I'd probably have to say Republican.

I'm not sure either party as a whole denies Global Warming more than the other. They have both(and I'm talking about the big 2 sorry everyone else, when your relevant I'll include you) been party to the political blackmail of the environmental lobby and have made statements confirming the misguided findings of the Man Made Global Warming alarmists.

Now... O'Rielly's *****. Its the Global Warming alarmists that want to return us to the dark ages. These people are the modern day version of Luddites who want us to drop everything because they say it will be the downfall of mankind without providing actual factual proof.

Both parties agree global warming is happening, the GOP just thinks the evidence that it is man made is lacking.

There is lack of unbiased research since, in 1996, the Clinton administration stopped funding of any project that was unbiased. Since 1996 $25 Billion dollars has gone to research to prove man made global warming and $0 has gone to groups looking for the reason the earth's surface temps are rising.

In science grants are obtained by writing a thesis which includes setting observation standards, data compilation and data analysis. Under Clinton it also had to include how it will prove links between global warming and man.

To the first reply. Man made global warming is not something that can be proven or disproven. The only way to prove anything is after the fact when it comes to climatology.

Simply having a list of scientists that disagree again proves nothing. There are many disagreements in science.

Try again.

I don't think there is any political party which is denying global warming at this point. It's a verifiable fact that what is going on is not a natural process, and most accept that.

I do, however, think the Republican party has the most to lose from efforts to slow global warming. The party is funded primarily by oil...I mean, come on!

Global warming man-made and natural should be important to both parties. But it is the conservative right (Republicans?) that don't WANT to believe.

Why? I don't understand.

Republicans are more pro-business and Democrats are more pro-save the whale.

That being said, I don't think anybody denies global warming. I think pro-business people deny it's caused so much by us. They claim it's more natural, would be happening anyway, and don't mess with my energy usage for my business.

Save the owl people say we are all devils and should all have to ride bikes to work. Of course, what we will be doing at work remains to be explained since our factories got shut down by them...
