Welcome to the wonderfull world of making your own fish food.
Yes, both are very good (even pieces parts, including liver, intestines etc) as fish food. Be it dehydrated to keep or frozen or fresh.
You can use any fresh water fish even some salt for home made fish foods. Even cod, halibut, shark, swordfish etc uneaten scraps can be used for your fish. It is prefered raw, but cooked is fine. Even ground up shrimp shells are good for roughage.
Any fish, from just about any water are fine. There are a few , however the few that should not be used, you more than likely will not come in contact with. Frog meats and parts, turtle parts etc also work.
Mixed as well with veggies, worms and even frozen bait fish. These contain more neutriants than most canned or jared foods and you will find most breeders make their own food vs. buy it.
Good step in the right direction! need recipies or help, feel free to email

DanielleZ hit the nail on the head. Just about any fish can be used to make homemade fish foods. It can be frozen in ice trays as well in the amount youwish to feed your fish. Shrimp is usually inclueded only because it is inexpensive (brine mostly). It can also be dehydraded, like jerky ground and dried flat. Put into a airtight jar or baggie and you are good to go.

The Quran mentions 'barzakh' meaning a barrier. It separates salt water from candy water. The 'Barzakh' is truthfully no longer a barrier . this is somewhat the alternative . The waters are actually not forbidden to tresspass. candy water flowing from the rivers and salt water do no longer mixture right this moment yet ultimately they mixture. this is like once you pour milk in a cup of coffee they do no longer mixture rapidly yet once you stir them they mixture.

Yes you can, in fact many flake foods contain some fish flesh and bones. Be careful to be sure it's properly preserved and feed sparingly to prevent polluting the tank.

only to piscivore fish, i think it would be quite difficult to prepare, and it could pollute the tank.discus keepers use grated beef heart(cows heart), but again the tanks are bare, and any uneaten food can be siphoned out. much better using frozen prepared foods
