i asked a similar question before and was asked if i read my lease.....OF COURSE I DID>
it states nothing pertaing to landscaping or any of the sort.

No. It depends on zoning in areas. Many places don't have any requirements for tree size. Some housing complexes and owner's associations have very specific rules and bylaws about tree sizes. SOme places only require the power company to have easement to trim as needed to keep lines safe.

No 2 areas have the same laws. If you really want to know, start with county zoning and the owner's association for your subdivision if there is one.

Keeping the property looking nice is usually the renters responsibility (considered normal maintenance). This means no junk laying around and the grass cut. Tree trimming is not normally included in this unless stipulated in the lease/rental argreement. I read your other post and my feeling is, if it isn't in the agreement, in writing, it is not your responsibility and costs should not be passed onto you if the landlord has the work done. Excepting normal maintenance.

Some landlords expect you to take care of landscaping. You should check with them.
