Steve Wynn came up with a tip pool that included the Dealer's Supervisors. each Supervisor get's 2/5 of the Dealer tips and each Boxman gets 1/5. I was recently seperated from Wynn Las Vegas and here is my story

So it ok for the Dealer's Supervisors to get the tips too?

nope, the supervisor probably gets a higher paycheck than the waitress, plus the server is the frontliner doing the dirty work-she should get the whole tip.

No. The reason that Waitresses get tips, is because they make so little money from the place they work. The waitress make under min wage. The Super gets paid probley $10 or more an hour. A good waitress will bring back customers to see them. The supervisor doesn't have much interaction with the customer. So the only way a Sup, should get any money from a waitress, is if he/she helps the waitress out.

Her Supervisor ? No !
The manager or supervisor never gets a share of the servers tips.
If your a server you tip your bus-boy/girl, the bartender, a buck or two for the host, and maybe a tip for the kitchen,
Unless the supervisor is doing some of the above jobs for you then no tip.

I've never worked at a restaurant where you are expected to tip out your supervisor. The ONLY people you should have to tip as a waitress are (in order of importance):
busser
bartender
cook
dishwasher

Yes, that is a lot of folks to tip out at the end of the night, and not all waitresses tip out everyone. I worked at a restaurant where i would walk away with $300 cash in tips each nigh, so I could afford to tip them out too.

Just remember when you are tipping how many people go into making your dining experience a pleasant one.

Not at all. When I tip, I'm tipping based solely on the service being provided by the person working my table. The atmosphere, menu, food preperation, and so forth are the reasons I come back - the people responsible for that get paid a salary.

If someone gives me great service, but the food sucks, I'll leave a good tip, but not go back there to eat again. If the service sucks, but the food is great, I'll leave very little tip, but when I come back I'll make sure I get a different server.

It is ok with me if the supervisor or busboy or cooking staff, etc... get part of the tip.
I eat out frequently and I know that if the supervisor doesn't manage correctly, if the bus people and cooks don't do their job properly, my experience will not be good.
I do think that the server should receive more than half if they are the one who takes the order, brings out the order, and refills your drinks. If this job is shared by several people as happens in may restaurants, then it should be split evenly.

No the supervisor makes a lot of money already. Why should he/she get their annual salary plus the tips that the waiter/waitress deserves. When we pay our wait staff most people thinks that the money should go to the person that waited on us.

No for waitress make little money as they do they deserve all the tips. I think they shall keep it all the supervisor doesn't deserve any of it. If the supervisior was working out there and knew what it was like then maybe they would think differently.

What does the story have to do with the question? You were fired, it happens. That has no bearing on whether or not you should have to share tips. Obviously supervisor's shouldn't be sharing tips. They aren't the ones working their butts off.
