Here's an article about the overclocking. It's the E6300 that is best for overclocking.
http://www.tomshardware.com/2007/01/18/overclocking-guide-part-1/
If you're playing 3d games and you're running over 60fps already, there be NO difference at all. Overclocking the cpu can shorten it's life. Overclocking is usually done when the computer is not running fast enough (the poor man's upgrade).

perfect first i choose for to thank the 1st answerer for that 20 minute Intel infomercial, too undesirable he did no longer even attempt to respond to the question. My preliminary wager would desire to be cooling, regardless of the effort-free undeniable fact that that does look somewhat low overclock for the cooling to be the subject, yet as quickly as you're making use of inventory cooling you may choose to bypass forward and attempt an o.e.m cooler. increasing voltage would choose to help, yet decrease back, this sounds like too small an overclock to return to a call on a voltage strengthen, yet decrease back, attempt that and observe if it quite works. for the clarification that i'd desire to would desire to get rid of those 2, my superb wager would desire to be that your motherboard or your chipset does no longer overclock perfect. i'd desire to flash the BIOS on your motherboard, that would choose to help. in case you opt for extra help, i visit objective to do what i visit, regardless of the effort-free undeniable fact that it might desire to help in case you sent me your motherboard type type, plus your RAM tips, then perhaps some thing would desire to come out to me. My digital mail is in my profile.

I would stay away from the Intel desktop boards but i do believe the best OCing motherboard for that chip would be the Asus Striker if you want something high end. IMO DFI has better OCing boards for AMD....I also heard Gigabyte boards were good for that particular chip. For the best OCing be sure your getting an NVIDIA NForce 590 or 570 intel edition chipset or the 680i chipset for the best results in your OCing.....good luck with it.

Look for the mobo model at the left portion of the screen. ASUS can make your E6600 really fly.
