...someone is explaing to you something that you already now...would you cut his conversation and say I know this already, or pretend like you don't know?

Pretend like I don't know. My best friend in the world has a serious memory problem. She's very smart. One of the smartest people I know in fact. But she forgets that she's told me something only a few hours ago and goes on a rant about it. I don't mind. I just let her go. It makes her feel good to be able to talk about these things and that's what really matters.

I would wait for an appropriate moment to interject that i know about the subject already. I assume then the conversation would move on into something more interesting for us both or i would fill him in on what I knew.

Wait for a pause and interject with a related bit of information that shows that you are already aware of what they've been saying. I think it's rude to blatantly point out that someone is repeating themselves or giving erroneous information.

Just say that you already know if he is talking directly to you but if he is in a conversation with you and other people then let him have his moment :-) But seriously if you already know something and this person is just repeating it then jusjt stop him and tell him you already know. Agree with what he says about it and say something like no offence or anything like that, so that he doesn't feel like he is just being ignored... believe me, i used to have a friend that would tell me something that i have told him i already know and he'd just carry on like he's oblivious... he really got on my friend and i's nerves... can i say I's? lol i dunno... hope i helped anyway lol...

Pretend that you don't know and go along with it! If you cut in this is rude and might hurt the other persons feelings!

I would tell them that I already know NICELY and if I had a question or comment about it or something like it I would say/ask it.

Nod in agreement.. Yeah right..
You dont want to come off rude.. If its in class let them continue, others may not know the information.

If not in class then add to the argument/sentence if necessary and let them know, yeah i knew that already!

I would cut it short and let them know immediately that I already know.

This happens to me on a daily basis. I just listen and don't say anything because when I have said, "oh, you already told me that", they get mad.

I WOULD politely touch the persons wrist and say oh im familiar with this, or say i know all about it....as to not offend the person.
