I'm 22 weeks, having a baby shower at 26 weeks. Hosted by my mother. I was just curious to see what are your top games. Doesn't have to be what you had at your baby shower, it could one you played at another or just one you have heard of. Thanks so much = ]

Honestly.....I think one of the best activities you can do at a shower is DECORATE ONESIES!! It's fun, it's silly and it's a great way to Celbrate Baby!

Purchase enough onesies for everyone to do ONE. Try to spread the sizes out over the first year. Buy fabric paint, paint brushes and artist sponges for funky designs!! Set out the onesies on a table covered with a plastic drop cloth. Have disposable plates (not styrofoam, though) out for paint. Let each guest spend about fifteen minutes creating a one-of-a kind onesie for the new baby!!

This would be a great activity at the beginning of the shower when everyone is waiting for everyone to arrive!! A great ice-breaker.....and a chance for people to get excited and pumped up about the new baby!!

OOOh a baby shower how nice is that. They can be so much fun. The first thing, I was told at my last shower was that they were having a wishing well but it was a little different than usual.
You were suppose to buy a $5.00 or less gift for the mother and everyone was given a room that she would use it in. So, 1 person would have the bedroom, the next would have bathroom etc. It was hugely entertaining when you saw some of the gifts that were given.

Then they asked the father-to-be 10 questions of what he would do with the baby if this happened. They were really zany silly questions...like what would you do if you ran out of diapers and had to used something around the house...what would it be? Then you would ask the mother to be the same question and then tell her what her husband said.

Then there is the normal pick the time of the day the baby will be born. What is the expectant mother's waist and bra size.? Have ribbon that each one cuts and quesses will be that size.
Or how much has she gained? How much will the baby weight?

Ask everyone to bring a small jar of babyfood for a wishing well. Only they'll have to eat it themselves and whoever finishes first gets a small gift.

The classic is the diaper game. Take 10 diapers and put different things in them. They're passed around and everyone has to smell and quess what is in it. It's really funny when you try to get the color just right!

I've also seen a game where they have a baby doll and the mother to be is blindfolded and you give her different things that she must use to diaper the baby in (blindfolded). The stranger the thing the funnier it is.

It really is just such a happy time that everyone always enjoys themselves to matter what is done or not

Best wishes for a happy healthy baby.

Some classic activities at baby showers include:

Baby shower bingo.
Guess the birth date or guess the gender.
Guess the expectant mother's girth: guests cut pieces of ribbon or yarn to a length they believe matches the mother-to-be's tummy circumference. Another similar game is tying a string around her abdomen, and if it breaks for one person, it's expected she or he's the next new parent.
Guess the baby food flavor: guests have to taste-test several flavors of baby food and try to identify them.
Other games include a diaper throw game, and the diapers have candies or chocolate stuff.
Opening the gifts in front of the guests.
Serving cake, though any type of food or beverage might be served.

Not sure on the games .. but! I think one thing you should do is a DIAPER RAFFLE!! have anyone (who wants to participate in the raffle) bring a pack of diapers and their name will go into a drawing .. and then whoever wins the drawing gets a prize!
(you'll need all those diapers!)
and one game I can remember was where each person gets a baby pin (like a pink or blue diaper pin) and wears it on their shirt .. and they cannot say the word BABY, and if they say the word BABY they have to give their pin to the person who catches them .. and at the end, whoever has the most pins, WINS! :)

good luck! God bless!

Well im 17wks preg. but my sister in law is 32 and were giving her a baby shower this weekend. We plan on playing these games at hers.
1.)baby shower bingo
2.)clothes pin game- where when you cross your legs and someone sees they can take you clothes pin at the end who ever has the most wins.
3.)the toliet paper game- everyone guess how many sheets it takes to wrap around the mommys tummy and whoever is closet to it wins.
4.)cotton ball game- you get a big bowl full of cotton balls place it on a ladies head and with a spoon the person with the bowl on her head tries to scoop up as many cotton balls as possible. who ever gets the most wins.
5.)q-tip game- fill a jar before the shower with q-tips count them before you place them in the jar and let the ladies guess how many are in the jar.
6.)close pin and hanger game- get a wire hanger fill it with clothes pins have everyone one at a time try and grab as many clothes pins off the hanger as possible with one hand.
7.) Gold pin game- this one takes planning ahead but you get the a certain number of safety pins in silver (depending on how many women you invite) and 1 gold safety pin. Goto a craft store and they have little baby decorations you can use to glue on the pins. Let the ladies hand get a pin and put it on. Once everyone shows up see who is wearing the gold safety pin their should only be one person and who ever it is wins.
My fav is the clothes pin game becase im always crossing my legs. Well I hope my little list helped you out some good luck and congrats.

My friends at work threw a shower for me, and we played this one game where you take a dozen diapers and put various food items in the diaper, and make people smell them and guess what is in the diaper. It is really, really funny, and makes for some great laughs! Use things like mustard, bbq sauce, baked beans, cottage cheese...disgusting! My husband almost threw up. He could not take it! He turned white! So funny!

Pass the prize - Give one guest a gift, then read this poem and have them pass it.
1. The news is out, quick send a cable, the gift goes to the lady across the table.

2. If someone wears a dress of blue, she must take this gift from you. If blue cannot be seen, it goes to the one wearing green.

3. I will now read another verse...please pass it to the gal with the largest purse.

4. We are getting tricky, here is a real humdinger! Pass it to the one with the most rings on her fingers.

5. Wow! What a success! Pass it to the guest with the most buttons on her dress.

6. Alas, this gift is not for you. It now goes to the one with the largest shoe.

7. Let's get this party started girls..pass it to the one with the cutest curls.

8. Mommy is anxious. Daddy is nervous. Now pass this to the lady who drove the furthest.

9. There won't be time to practice, there won't be time to rehearse. Pass this gift to the gal with the most money in her purse!

10. We hope you all are having fun. We have tried to include most everyone. From the largest purse to the largest shoe, pass this gift to the right of you.

11. We're ending this rhyme, this is the last poem, the gift you are holding is yours to take home!

Left or Right?
Hand one person a wrapped gift/prize and read the following story. When they hear the word LEFT or RIGHT/WRIGHT, they hand the gift in that direction. The person who is now holding the gift passes it to the person on the side of them that's mentioned next in the story so it just keeps moving around - back and forth. The person holding the gift at the end is the winner. Chaotic and fun! Here's the story:
Mr. WRIGHT prepared to take Mrs. WRIGHT RIGHT to the hospital as she just went into labor. As he LEFT in the car, he turned RIGHT out of the driveway. He had to go RIGHT back home because he LEFT Mrs. WRIGHT at home. They both got in the car on the LEFT side as the RIGHT side door wouldn't open. Mr. and Mrs. WRIGHT again LEFT for the hospital, turning RIGHT out of the driveway. An argument occurred about the RIGHT turn, as Mrs. WRIGHT said that Mr. WRIGHT should have turned LEFT. Mr. WRIGHT kept insisting that he was absolutely RIGHT, but Mrs. WRIGHT kept insisting that the hospital entrance was on the LEFT. Two blocks away after another LEFT turn they discovered they had LEFT Mrs. WRIGHT’s over night bag at home. So they made a LEFT turn, then a RIGHT to go back home to where they had LEFT the bag. As they turned RIGHT on to their street, Mrs. WRIGHT said "Let's just go RIGHT to the hospital and send someone else RIGHT to the house for the fact that we LEFT the bag on the couch". They went LEFT at the next block and turned RIGHT back around. Finally at the hospital Mr. WRIGHT pulled up to the front where he LEFT his wife to go RIGHT in. Inside the hospital they wheeled Mrs. WRIGHT away. “Where is my wife? I only LEFT her for a minute!” Exclaimed Mr. WRIGHT. A nurse rushed him RIGHT down the hall, they made a LEFT turn, then a RIGHT, and a LEFT turn again. Mr. WRIGHT found Mrs. WRIGHT already in delivery. But he then realized that he had LEFT the video camera in the car. RIGHT away he ran out of the room and back to the car. Not only had he LEFT the camera but he had LEFT the lights on too. Mr. WRIGHT wasted no time; he ran RIGHT back to his wife’s room. As Mr. WRIGHT walked in all he heard was screams from his wife because he had LEFT her room and was nowhere in sight. I’m sure you can guess what happened next. As Mrs. WRIGHT had the baby Mr. WRIGHT passed out on the floor. But when he came to he got a shock once more. For there he saw Mrs. WRIGHT embracing their new little bundles of joy. With two babies on her LEFT and one on the RIGHT, Mrs. WRIGHT turned to her husband and said “there is one thing LEFT to do, I think we should name these WRIGHT babies, how about you?

The Diaper Bag
This is a memory game where the first person says an item that would be found in a diaper bag. The second player re-states that first item and then adds one of their own. This keeps going and each new person has to list off everything mentioned in the proper order and then add something to it. Players are disqualified if they forget to mention one of the items or say them out of order. The last person standing is the winner.

Baby Concentration
This is a game where guests match the candy that best fits the pregnancy or baby-related description given. Here is a list, with answers in parentheses. List the baby-related items to the left, then list the candy bars on the right in random order. Have guests match the baby item with the corresponding candy from the list.
Twins – (M&Ms)
Triplets – (3 musketeers)
Epidural – (Lifesavers)
Hospital bill – (Payday)
Contractions – (Whoppers)
Girl’s Name – (Baby Ruth)
College Costs – (100 Grand)
Breastfeeding – (Milky Way)
Boy’s Names – (Mike & Ike)
Mom’s tummy after pregnancy – (Jelly Belly)
What you can’t give baby enough of – (Hugs & Kisses)

New Parent Questionnaire
The night before the shower ask the dad-to-be a series of questions about his knowledge of babies. At the shower have an envelope that has strips of paper, each of which has a different question on it that you have asked the father. At the start of the game tell all the ladies that you have asked the dad-to-be 15 questions and their goal is to guess how many of his answers the mom-to-be could get right. Then pass around the envelope and take turns asking the questions to the mom-to-be. The lady who guesses closest wins the game. Here is a list of sample questions. Add your own to make it really hilarious.

How many diapers do you think a baby needs each day?
How many diapers do you plan to change each day?
How many hours does a baby sleep each day?
At what age does a baby start eating solid food?
Do you think that your baby will be born with a lot of hair?
How many kids do you want to have?
Who will be the disciplinarian?
...and so on.

Baby Bag Mystery
Take about five baby items and place each in a paper bag. Staple the bags shut and number them. Pass out paper and pencil to the guests. Then pass the bags around and have them write down their answers. After all have finished, the one who gets the most right wins. Get some easy items like diaper pins, pacifiers, rattles, and a few harder items like fingernail clippers. Use items mom-to-be can take home after the shower.

Baby Fear Factor
Purchase an assortment of baby foods: green beans, carrots, bananas, etc. You can mix different flavors together or just put a couple of different ones on the same plate. Give one to each participant, with a baby spoon. First person to finish eating their baby food wins. This was hilarious!

Who Am I?
As your guests arrive, stick a label with the name of a celebrity or a fictional character onto their backs so they cannot see it. One person stands up to show her back and that person has to guess who she is by asking questions. For instance, you might be Martha Stewart, and you would ask questions like, “Am I on TV?” “Am I young or old?” “Am I a performer?” “Am I a talk show host?” Participants are only allowed to ask yes/no questions. The guests respond accordingly until you have guessed correctly. Then it is the next person's turn to guess which character she is. The guest who correctly guesses the name on her label with the fewest questions wins a prize.

Baby Memory Trey with a Twist!
Arrange about 20 baby items on a small trey. Use a bottle, a diaper, Qtips, nail clippers, a baby spoon, a washcloth, etc. Have the mom-to-be carry the trey around the room for guests to look at. Send her around the room again so they can have a second look. Then have her leave the room with the trey. Once she is gone, tell your guests that instead of writing down all the baby items they can remember, instead they have to write down everything they can remember about the appearance of the mom-to-be. They get a point for each detail, such as the color of her top or her skirt, style of her shoes, style of her earrings, etc. This is loads of fun because it totally catches your guests off guard!

My favorite is the diaper cake game! Have a look at the website below. These diaper cakes make a gorgeous centerpiece, and you can have the guests guess how many diapers and what hidden supplies are in the cake! Guests are just incredulous when you reveal all the stuff that's in there! And after the party, you can use all the diapers for the baby!

Enjoy your baby shower!
