I used to... Then I decided to buy 2 packs of 10 socks that were all the same and now instead of making pairs of socks I just put them all in the drawer. When needed I grab 2 socks. Also when I find a sock that is getting worn out I throw it away not having to worry about the one it was paired up with.

Yes, I have a few lone socks in my sock drawer as well! I don't know where they disappear to. I mean, I know sometimes I pitch socks that have holes in them which could be part of the lone sock problem but sometimes a sock will disappear here or there and it's what on earth happened to the darn thing???

I dont have that problem so much. My daughter did but solved it by never wearing matching socks. This way she never has single socks and she never has to sort and pair up socks when doing laundry thus saving lots of time although looking ridiculous to the older folks.

Take all your socks and thow them away. Go out and buy 4 or more packs of matching new socks. Sound crazy? You'll spend like $20 bucks right?
Trust me: you'll spend more than $20 bucks worth of your time trying to match up socks every time you do laundry or worse, when your're late for work in the morning.

Actually, I match my socks everyday when I get them out of the laundry. So, I have more paired socks than I do "lone" socks.

It was the Sock Fairy, it sneaks into your house late at night, stealing some of you best socks for his mass collection. He's not as rich as the Tooth Fairy or Easter Bunny and that's why we don't get a presents from the Sock Fairy.

They way I understand it is that there's a hole in space either in your dryer or in your sock drawer that socks inadvertently fall into. Not to worry though! I have also been informed that you can get them all back after you die. They stay in a sock heaven, as it were.

Hubby & I have a small stack where we put odd socks after each wash load. Every so often I go thru it & sometimes I can match a few back up. We are fixing to move, and any that haven't "mated" by moving day are getting thrown out!

I have only 2...one white one and one black one.
This happens because I buy all the same socks...so if i lose a couple I can simply rematch them...I have less pairs, but at least they are all paired up. When I lose one more, then I won't have any solo socks, until I lose another.
