I don't want to hear about THE OTHER SIDE. We see that all the time. I want to know what side of the fence you're on and what you want to change about what YOU see as your party's weaknesses. No comparisons (ie at least we're not like )--just the facts, as you see them please.

I don't have a party, a least not today.

What ticks me off is how these career criminals in congress continue to buy votes for re-election.

What a congressman does in another state has as large of an impact on me as it does his constituents. I would like to see the primaries be held locally and the general elections held nationally. I believe that would truly change the face of the corrupt body in DC, the congress.

My party spent years complaining about "tax and spend" liberals, and we run up an 8 trillion dollar deficit.

The only thing worse than 'tax and spend' is "spend". At least with tax and spend, you're sort of paying your way as you go, and not dumping the responsibility on someone else.

My party used to be the party that reduced government spending and cut taxes and now they are the party that cuts taxes but doesn't reduce spending. There are also way too many religious fundmentalists trying to instill religion into politics/government.

That I can no longer associate myself with either one.

They are about getting elected at all costs, and the people come after the party and the politician.

Peace!

I wish the candidates would read and try to, at least, get close to adhering to the party's platform.

They allow themselves to be pushed into the back round and ignored because they cannot come up with a real candidate...because of this all our views get ignored and people get ideas that we believe in weird stuff.

Abortion. But I can see both sides to it.I personally don't believe in it but also don't think it should be a subject that the government should get into.
