Tell the friend that you accept there the way that she is and that your flatted that she thinks your wife is hot. Then let her know that you don't think it would be cool to let your wife know about how she feels. If she can't respect then you don't need her for a Friend.

Why would you think you have to do anything...you have been friends for 30 years, she has not made any kind of advances to date, why do you think she will in the future...Saying you think someone is hot is one thing, acting upon it is entirely another...perhaps she was testing the waters...just say that you know your wife well enough that she would be offended by an advance...that will take care of the thing quickly..what is the big deal here?

YUK. I'm in a terrific relationship right now, and a friend of his his bi...and her behavior towards me is more than "nice". I'm personally not comfortable with it because I'm straight. At first we thought it was humorous, and now we're thinking "keep her at arm's length, but be nice" kind of thing. He wouldn't want to watch, thankfully he's not like that =)
