Just subtract, and then figure out what percent the difference is of the ORIGINAL amount by using methods of straight percentage problems.

32 - 25 = 7
7 / 25 = 0.28 or 28% increase

The student got 32 right on the second attempt, so the percentage increase is (32/25)-1, or 28%.

Alternatively, you can work out the increase (35-28=7), and then work out what percentage this increase is of the original number the student got right (7/25=0.28=28%)

On 1st test 25 questions correct.
On 2nd test 32 questions correct.
Increase = 7 questions.
% increase in correct questions = (7 / 25) x 100
= 28%

The raw difference is 7 (32-25)

The percentage is 28% (the raw variance of 7 divided by the original number of 25)

25 +7=32
the increase would not be 7% but 7/25 = 28% because you divide the number you got right in the first test with the extra amount you got right the second time you took the test.

(32-25)/25= .28

.28 times 100 = 28%

take the new and subtract the old and divide by the old, that is how it works

That is kinda cofusing but i would love to try out.
First you add 25 and 32.
You get 57.
Then subtract 32 from 25.
You get 7.
Divide 7 by 57 and then multiply it by 100.
The increase of 12.28%.
This is the most logical answer i can think of . Please reply.
