Abbey Road has been my favorite for many years!

First off, the above answer by "Kyle" - too weird!
That album and movie was AWFUL!
But back to your question - my answer is:
"Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band"
Why?
Well, you didn't ask that question, but since I have the time, allow me to point out a few things about this album.
It was a "first" in so many ways.
From a recording standpoint, it was brilliant.
This, before a time when technology was restricted to only FOUR track ANALOG audio recorders!!!
The Beatles, along with master producer George Martin, used two four-track recorders in order to blend as many instruments as possible.
From a concept standpoint, again, brilliant.
No one had done a rock concept like this.
Art work on the cover and inside were again, brilliant.
I still have my original cut-out that was inserted in the album.
Oh, and not to overlook the music itself.
Every song was brilliantly crafted and still stands the test of time...this, after 40 years.
Can ANY of today's pop stars even hope to have an album like that under their belt, 40 years from now?
I bet my life they will NOT!

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (1967), The White Album (1968), Abbey Road (1969) and Let It Be (1970)!
So the latter part of their musical career, evidently!
