I downloaded the latest version of iTunes and turns out that my iPod was synced with another iTunes. Now it's basically saying that the only way that I can sync songs on my ipod from the current version I have now is to erase all the songs that I have on my iPod...If I downloaded the version of iTunes that I synced all of my songs with, would it work? The error message I keep getting by the way is that "this iPod cannot be synced with 2 versions of iTunes at once".

Interesting, it sounds like you have two versions of iTunes on your computer at once. It would depend on what operating system you are using (Windows or OSX), but you should search and delete/uninstall the older version before you proceed. Also, you should check and make sure that your song library is on your computer because iTunes does not automatically sync your songs FROM your iPod TO your computer, only the other way. There are ways to do this, but it requires a third part application.

Whatever songs you have in iTunes will end up back on your ipod, so just sync it. If you have songs on the previous version and do not want to lose them, they should automatically transfer to the updated version.
