Singer Sheryl Crow has said a ban on using too much toilet paper should be introduced to help the environment.
Crow has suggested using "only one square per restroom visit, except, of course, on those pesky occasions where two to three could be required".

How many of you are going to use only 1 sqaure now that Cheryl has asked us to?

I have to wonder what kind of hygeine a woman like that has to be honest.
There are maybe a 100 billion better suggestions to helping the environment. She should stick to singing songs about bar stools and other crap.

Laugh, laugh

I don't know if we appreciate how much we have. I just want a few things I can treasure. So the things I do have, I'll appreciate - like toilet paper.

Anyone who has trouble with that can come see me when I am not in the bathroom!! I'm into the environment and I'm not going to take that manure from no one.

She will be WIPED out soon with that attitude.

Don't you just LOVE these celebrities telling all of us middle and lower class Americans how we should live and how to save our planets as they fly around in their jets and drive their gas guzzling cars/trucks. And Cheryl Crow (a singer) puts on concerts, how much energy does that consume? A lot of lights at a concert!! And the amount of trash left over WOW!! Not to mention the big houses they live in. And all the hair products, make up and props they use to entertaine us? Maybe if they quit doing all that we could use 2 squares of toilet paper instead!!!

I know we can all wipe our Butts with the covers of their CD's!!!

Cheryl Crow is a talented musician. Other than listening to her music, I would recommend ignoring what she says. You aren't one of those people who alters their life based on what an entertainer says, are you?

using only one square of toilet paper would be like taking a shower with a glass of water.

i wish i could ask sheryl that wouldn't it be more harmful to the environment if everyone's hands reeked of feces and all the water and soap being used if everyone's underwear had to be scrubbed and washed daily?

i have not used any toilet paper for 5 years.....i go to the salvation army and get a flannel sheet and cut it into squares and wipe with the squares and rinse them in hot water and wash my hands really well.....i then put them in with the wash that uses hot water and oxyclean....i dry them and use them again....for like three years.....they only take up the space i the washer of about 2 pairs of socks.....so i don't feel like i am wasting water on them......no one has ever gotten anything from using them....i enforce the hand washing stringently....i don't think it is appropriate to wipe my rear with the rainforrest.....nor do i think it is possible for everyone to afford that recycled bio paper that falls apart when one wipes.....i am soooo glad someone asked the toilet paper question.....i have been trying to start the wipey revolution for a while...

well put,and those silly hilly lovers would buy it,,but no way, best to require all water only toilets like they have in some European countries.sanitation must be the priority and less toilet paper is unsanitary, especially in public restrooms...go team bush.

What Ms. Crow proposes: I see no instance where she called a ban. In fact here is a statement:

"Although my ideas are in the earliest stages of development, they are, in my mind, worth investigating.

"I propose a limitation be put on how many squares of toilet paper can be used in any one sitting."

She is proposing ideas. No more no less.
And it depends if i take a leak I need none or if I drop a deuce, I need more.

Asking people to use one square of TP is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard! Wouldn't it be more efficient to encourage people to use environmentally safe paper products instead? I highly doubt she uses just one square and if she did she'd be walking around smelling of urine and poo.

How about if I save up all my used TP and mail it to Sheryl Crow so she can recycle it?

This is probably the most comical posting that I have ever seen on Y*A.
I laughed so hard reading the answers, I got tears in my eyes.
