The drama group in my school are doing a fashion show to celebrate our town's 50th birthday. Does anybody have any suggestions of what I can wear? We have to supply an outfit each, and in 60's designs. I have a basic idea, but help would be appreciated. Thanx in advance.

maybe you should look at a video of these times. The 60s is all flower power the 50s was all about making do as there was not the clothing after the war and the clothes where really boring.

Without a doubt you need an A-line, very short shift dress. Peter pan neckline, or a high neckline. Ignore the flares and hippie suggestions from the others...that was the 70's!!

60's was very much black and white, quite geometric and very short. Thick black tights and lots of heavy black eyeliner and big fake lashes. Hope this helps. Enjoy K

Mini skirts, flares, bright bold hippy colours, platform shoes, love and peace that sort of thing. these are 60s going a bit into the 70s. you could also search for ideas on google

That would make it 1967 so if I remember rightly I was 11 years old and Mary Quant Biba and Sandie Shaw were very "in"
you can use some of today's bright funky shift dresses shirt waisters and white tights short bobbed hair with very straight fringes brightly coloured chunky jewelry
but if you need more help follow the link attached

Mod was made popular in the 60's. Short, loose-fitting mini dresses (they're called tent or trapeze dresses) in vibrant colors and patterns, white "go-go" boots, funky big plastic jewlery, large round sunglasses. Pink frosty lipstick! That's mid-60s.

Or you could do hippie/psychedelic late 60's. Bell bottom jeans, mexican-style embroidered tops, round wire framed glasses, scarf worn on the head. You need long, straight hair to complete the look!

Well...I was alive and a kid in the 60's....but if you are talking about what the young people (teens, etc) wore...
Bell bottoms
Long Hair or the other extreme..."beehive" hairdo's or hair "flipped" at the shoulder.....
White (yes, white) or VERY pale lipstick
Dark eyeliner (we only had LIQUID eyeliner back then)...
Peace symbols
Tie-Dyed Shirts
Stripped pants (REALLY tight) with wild looking shirts...
Nehru Jackets..
Headbands were a big thing...
"Shift" style dresses (very straight and "A" line)
Flowers on everything....
"Penny" Loafers
