Spend six months in Alaska. How you gonna stay away from the sun when you drive, unless you switch to do everything at night. You also have to be careful because some of those creams may stain your skin whey you're outside in the sun.
Would you consider tanning the rest of your body a little to get even? In that case you would need a high number sunscreen for your face. And a tanning lotion for the rest of your body.

You could wait till the tan fades. It won't be too long. Exfoliation will help it go faster... any facewash with buffing beads/scrubs will do the trick. You can find these at any drugstore.

Skin lighteners are mainly used to even out skin tone (like fade sun spots in old people, acne marks, etc), but you can find them at Sephora... they have lots of different brands:

Time is probably the best answer, though.

Also wear SPF daily to prevent tanning and potential skin cancer.

Stay away from the sun and stop trying to tan it. So many advancements have been made in sprays and creams that it's just not worth the risk of cancer and extra wrinkles. Just enjoy my advice and smile as you watch your friends impersonate another race, knowing that soon enough they will have plenty of leather to spare.

Like the first person said - exfoliate.

Also, wear sunscreen everyday so your skin doesn't continue to tan. Neutrogena makes good ones. Wear a wide brimmed hat too if you can.
