Absolutely not! Why, I carry my battle-axe around all the time and am never stopped by the police. But then, who would stop me when my battle-axe does +10 fire damage plus mana burn?

As long as it is in plain view you don't need a permit in Maine. But then again, concealing a battle-axe would be quite the trick.

After a recent spike in maimings, it was decided that a way to track everyone walking around with battle-axes was required so they introduced the permit.

a million. you're an fool 2. it may or is probably not legal to hold around. My guess is unlawful. in spite of the incontrovertible fact that, legal or not it supply you many of undesirable interest from police. 3. particular shops will kick you out and probably call the police. See #2
