Given the success of the Pens this season, it is reasonable to expect that they will pick up at least 1 or 2 players with some experience (and a higher price tag). Who would you like to see them get (and who would they be giving up to make the room)?

They need a couple stay-at-home d-men, and maybe a new goalie. Fluery is young and Im sure he will grow to be a reliable goalie in the future, but having a proven goalie would make them more comfortable in the short term.

Goaltending and Defense!!!

It's not that Fleury is bad...because he isn't. The defense made it really hard for him this season. I could live without Josef Melichar, but I wouldn't get rid of Gonchar or Whitney.

As for the goaltending, Fleury will continue to be the starter, but I'm not so sure if Thibault would be willing to be a backup for another season, given his experience in the league.

I don't forsee Chris Thorburn, Nils Ekman, or Ronald Petrovicky coming back next season. But I would like them to definitely keep Ouellet, Armstrong, Talbot, and Christensen.

There have been talks already of signing Souray and the Pens just announced that they signed Aaron Boogaard to an entry level contract. Things are happening...

Let's Go Pens!!! - already working on next year!!!

The pens should re-sign Alexi Morozov- former pen who is TEARING it up in ther Russian Super League. Speedy winger with great hands would be a nice compliment to Sid or Malkin.
A solid blueliner like Teppo Numminen or And Sutton/Greg DeVries from ATL would be a big help for the goalie- too many soft goals as a result of shoddy defense.
If they could manage a guy like Guerin or Tkachuck(sp?) the veteran leadership would help out in that young locker room.
They should resign Gary Roberts as well.
Drury is a nice wish, but I don't see the Pens getting him.
I think The Rangers will lure him downstate.

I haven't read up on who will be available on the free agent market, but they could really use some penalty killers. The Senators were killing them on the power play.

And they need to make a solid plan about how they are going to keep the young core of this team together for as long as possible. If at all possible, they should use some of their cap space to add years to the contracts of Crosby, Malkin, Staal and/or Fleury.

they should pick an older and experienced goalie to work with Marc-Andre Fleury. He needs a lot of help between the pipes. He has giving up so many soft goals this season and in the playoffs.

Although I would hate to see this...............Chris Drury or Daniel Briere. I think that all the pens need is a seasoned forward to direct these young guns to the promiseland.
I am a Sabres fan but, I dont see us resigning Vanek, Briere, and Drury.

We need another Gary Roberts type forward. A player that is all grit and leadership

The ONLY guy they need is Peca...why? because he adds leadership and grit, which is essential for any young team...they dont need offence, although they could use some defence...but Peca is my choice, plus he only costs $1.5 mil.
