Looking at it from a historical stance I don't think it really ever exsisted it only seems that way because of the poetry of societies way back when there was such thing as a knights chivalry and since this idea was invented we have been consistently dissapointed in societies morals.

No more than in the past. There have always been honourable individuals, but it's impossible to point to a certain period in history and say that people were more honourable at that time.
People tend to idealise the past. But, I mean, there are ancient Roman writings that sound a lot like today's 'young people today are going straight to hell' speeches. We're not getting worse, we just haven't gotten any better.

The sword of truth and honour is not rusty, it's just misplaced and people get so tired they don't wanna find it anymore. Then it gets so dirty but it will always remain as good as it was before. Only, people must search for it.

The sword of truth has never been sharper. We, as people, are seeking it more and more in every aspect of our lives. This however is mainly down to the amount of un-trust and plain lying these days. This conveniently brings us to the sword of honour, which is decomposing as we speak.

Well, I've wielded the sword of truth and been attacked by some techno wielding freak under the direction of a flashy but fake knight in shining armour. This would be hilarious if it wasn't the truth.

No. The sword of truth and honor has not rusted. The problem is that too many have forgotten how to use it. This makes it rarer and therefore even more powerful than ever.
Those who use it have a weapon their opponents never expect.

Our question here is really, is it the sword itself that imparts and gifts to us substance and meaning, or is it the Heart of the Sword, which is Truth, that carries?
The sword is but the physical embodiment of the Truth -- using your metaphor here -- and being physical, it is subject to dissolution and decay. Truth cannot be broached by such elements but is multi-layered, which does not change but rather, we change and come to know a different turn on the selfsame essential and heart, which is Truth...

It has never existed in the rich. One for one & all 4 them selves. But if you brake down into the bare moral soul of a person who has had a hard life, then u may find some truth and honour. but Yes i would agree with u it may have rusted in the world but in my own personal view it has had extra oil.

This is from James J's wife, Anna J :)
I don't believe it has, can't believe it. It just seems that way cause our perception of the world is different than generations in the past. Just cause we can SEE more badness in the world doesn't mean it wasn't there before! All I can do is be truthfull and honorable myself and try to instill those values in my two sons. That's all anyone can do, and I think you'd be surprised about how many people feel the same way! :)

For many yes - for the greater of many 'no' Myself personally I would say my days are hopefully honouring the truth - simply that others cannot see the woods for the trees.
