Considering the Raiders have first pick, they'd be pretty dumb not to pick JaMarcus Russell!

Well, if the Raiders stay put at number 1 they will pick Jamarcus Russell, because the ultimate decision is Al Davis' to make; and he still feels as if he was cheated out of John Elway all those years ago. Davis has says that Russell reminds him of Elway and so many ways. If by some chances the Raiders new Head Coach can talk Davis into trading down It really depends on who they trade with. I would see it being either Detroit or Cleveland. Either way then I think Brady Quinn would go first. To Cleveland for keeps, or to Detroit who would subsequently trade Quinn to the Browns for their 1st round pick and a lower round pick . Then Detroit woudl take Calvin Johnson.

JaMarcus Russell, although I have a feeling that the Raiders may go with Calvin Johnson. If they do, it'll shake the draft up.

Remember last year we all thought it was a sure thing that the Houston Texans would draft Reggie Bush, but when it got down to contract time, the Texans couldn't deliver and ended up drafting Mario Williams (Thanks again Texans! Signed, Your Neighborhood Saints Fan). So anything is possible.

Jamarcus Russell will probably go first. The Raiders need a QB and there isn't really much to choose from at that position.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the Radiers trade Randy Moss, Jerry Porter, or both & then draft Calvin Johnson. Or at least make it seem like that's what they're going to do so that other teams that really want Johnson (like the Bucs) will trade with them. If they draft a QB, it will help Detroit trade down, but probably not help the Raiders' trade-down position.

I understand how Al Davis may be in love with Russell's arm strength (and Davis gets what he wants unless he's in a courtroom ;) ), but Russell's nowhere near as NFL ready as Brady Quinn & nobody's talking about Quinn going #1 overall.

My gut tells me Calvin Johnson goes first, whether to the Radiers or to some other team.

Russell is probably going to be #1, but I wouldn't rule out the Raiders taking Calvin Johnson, and trading Moss for some picks

The Raiders are in a very difficult possition it is very rare to see a team locked into staying in the #1 overall spot but in order to get either Johnson or Russell they can not trade down with anyone except Detroit who I guarentee will not trade up. Because if they want Johnson they can't trade behind Detroit because they will then trade down to Tampa and they will get Johnson if they want Russell they can not drop behind the Browns who would likely take Russell if he falls to them at 3. That said the pick will be determined by if they can get a Vet QB for a reasonable price. The smart stratagy would be to draft Calvin Johnson at the #1 spot then trade for Detroit's Josh McCown and deal Randy Moss to Green Bay which is exactly what Green Bay wants is to weaken the Lion's pick so that they can't trade down and pick up extra picks.

To summerize this is what will likely happen. The Raiders take Calvin Johnson #1 then trades Moss to Greenbay for picks and/or QB Rogers if Rogers doesn't come in that deal then trade the Lions for QB Josh McCown because the only reason they are holding on this deal is in hopes that the Raiders take Russell and they can trade down with tampa and pick up 3 extra day 1 picks.

It's most likely gonna be Jamarcus Russell or Calvin Johnson going number one overall.

Yes, but everyone said that about Reggie Bush last year and look what happened, you can never tell, but I agree, they should take Jamarcus Russell
